Reflections on the Kooskia, Idaho Opera House Concert

On February 20, 2010 I traveled to Kooskia, Idaho and performed in the Kooskia Opera House. This is a small town (population about 600-700) just south of the Clearwater River. I was completely impressed by number of folks that attended the concert. Clearly a third of the population of Kooskia came to enjoy my featured music and the music of my opening act, John Berning & his father-in-law Don.

Our hosts at the opera house were kind and welcoming, and the venue just exudes a special vintage ambience. I just want to thank all those involved in the promotion and staging of the concert for all their support. I also want to thank the kind folks of Kooskia and the surrounding area for their attendance and support of local music. I hope to return again soon!

In addition to my solo performances throughtout the Inland Northwest, I also perform with the American roots music trio, Keeler, Melvin & Morse. The trio specializes in acoustic multi-instrumental arrangements of blues, folk, and roots music. All members of the trio are singer-songwriters and strong solo performers in their own right, so performances contain stellar original material.
